What are the major differences between regular Algebra 2 vs. Algebra 2/Pre-Calc?

I know that algebra 2/pre-calc has each class in a semester instead of a year and you get 2 math credits, but do you get twice the work each day, or twice the information and half of the actual assignment for each part? i guess what i'm asking is it more daily homework or about the same as if you just took algebra 2?
