Should I get a Sony NEX-5?

I have always wanted a digital SLR but I never really wanted to have such a heavy camera... plus I found every DSLR I picked up to be somewhat complicated so I started looking into the NEX-5... I would be upgrading from a Samsung TL225 DualView because I would like better image quality... Would it be worth the upgrade?
