Mathematically calculating strides?

Hey, I know there are a lot of these stride questions out there but mine's a little different. I'm working on a role playing game that involves large mecha, and I'm trying to average out a stride for each size of mech. I'm sure I can get an average step from calculating with the leg height and such, I just don't know what that calc is. (if you need to know, I'm going to assume the legs are 45% of the height).
